The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Administrative Hearing Officer 1 in Atlanta, Macon, Savannah, Valdosta, GA. 
 
Under general supervision, the duties for these positions are as follows, but not limited to:

  • conducting administrative hearings in which there is generally conflicting evidence to determine eligibility of claimants for unemployment insurance benefits.  
  • ensuring all hearings are conducted fairly while safeguarding the legal rights of all parties.  
  • developing a hearing record and renders a written decision to all parties based on the competent evidence presented in the hearing.

Bachelor's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience interpreting and applying laws regarding program eligibility OR Four years of experience interpreting and applying laws regarding program eligibility OR Two years of experience required at the lower level Adjudicator 1 (LEP010) or position equivalent.
