In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, North Georgia Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty (temporary, part-time) to teach Biology at the Clarkesville Campus during the day/evenings.  Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: teaching varying schedules to a diverse student body in accordance with the established syllabi, utilizing technology and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction, provide students with appropriate course materials (syllabus, calendar, policy statements or guidelines), utilize course management software efficiently and effectively, adhere to course competencies in the preparation and delivery of quality instruction, prepare and maintain competency-based course syllabi and support materials for all courses with effective use of course management software, and be knowledgeable of institutional policies and procedures. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

 

Master's Degree in Biology *OR* Master's Degree in related field with 18 graduate semester hours in Biology.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.

 

Salary/Benefits:

 

Paid Hourly/No Benefits

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
