Job Descriptions and Requirements:
The Griffin Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is accepting resumes for a part-time Clerk position. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. The primary job duties and responsibilities involve providing clerical support to attorneys and other staff of the Circuit Public Defender office, including: processing and reviewing applications; entering data into the case management system; reviewing, proofreading, copying, and distributing documents; receiving, screening, and directing telephone and other communications; greeting and assisting clients; sorting and routing incoming and outgoing mail; answering correspondence; operating office equipment and maintaining supplies required for assigned tasks. Applicants should understand that this organization’s goal is to provide quality, client-centered representation to all clients. Superior organization and administrative skills are required. Prior experience is preferred.
