Duties &Responsibilities:

The Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will provide oversight for the daily operation of
the unit. Will supervise coordinate professional therapeutic services to persons with mental illness and/or addictive
disease in an outpatient clinic setting. Duties include but are not limitedto the following job responsibilities:
> Supervises a team of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Service Techs and
clerical/administrative staff; conducts performance evaluations, provides routine feedback and directs the
daily activities of the staff.
> Coordinates and/or arrange appointment schedule at optimal intervals to maximize use of work time.
> Coordinates and/or writes individual service plans that meet Medicaid, insurer, CARF, and other required
standards for diagnoses, content, justifications for treatment, evidence of consumer input, and treatment
time frames.
> Coordinates and/or writes service plans that are clear, concise, complete, grammatically correct, timely and
properly coded.
> Coordinates and/or secures or provides necessary signatures required to secure authorization for services.
Coordinates follows all Medicaid, state, insurer and other regulations related to the credentials required to
provide authorized services.
Coordinates and/or provides individual, family or group therapeutic counseling and/or educational and skill
development sessions as indicated in the service plan.
> Coordinates and/or monitors consumer progress and compliance with the service plan. Writes timely
progress notes that relate directly to the treatment outcomes described in the service plan.
> Coordinates and/or assembles, analyzes, and interprets new/updated information about the consumer in
order to reassess treatment needs. Identifies unmet needs, reviews available resources, and modifies the
treatment plan as indicated.
> Coordinates and/or requests treatment authorizations and re-authorizations within required time frames.
> Coordinates and/or provides and bills only those consumer services that are authorized in the service plan.
> Coordinates and/or may serve as case manager to facilitate and ensure communication, linkage, and
continuity of care between consumers, physicians, other organizational component, community resources
and service providers. Establishes linkages and coordination of services with community agencies.
> Coordinates and/or develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with community service
providers.
> Coordinates and/or inform consumers and families of the availability of community advocacy and support
groups.
> Coordinates face-to-face comprehensive assessment to identify problems and service needs.
> Conducts staff meetings to communicate any programmatic updates and/or operational changes
> Exhibits strong leadership skills to maintain an effective, efficient and safe unit.
> Works collaboratively with physicians to ensure continuity of care.
> Promotes family involvement in all aspects of the child's admission from referral to discharge.
> Emphasis on customer service in all aspects of the program.
> Prepares and submits reports adhering to deadlines.
> Evaluates and interviews prospective candidates for employment.
> Implements a training plan for new staff to include competency evaluation for job specific duties .
>Participates in the performance improvement committee to review policies, offer input, develop protocols and address performance improvement initiatives identified for the program.
> Provide crisis intervention services to existing and walk-in consumers as needed.  May provide on-call, after hours services on a rotational schedule.
> Assesses consumer's need for emergency admission clearance.

Minimum Training & Experience:
Master's degree and fully licensed as RN (4YR), LPC, LCSW, LMFT and Three or more years of experience in a managerial, supervisory, or leadership role.

Master�s degree with license and Three years of postgraduate related experience, with at least one year being in a supervisory role OR Master�s degree and Three years experience at the lower level or position equivalent (HCP122) Note: Some positions may require licensure or certification
