Provide RN oversight to developmental disabilities programs. Train proxy caregivers per DCH guidelines; complete RN review of HRST assessments ratings of 3 or higher; develop and train on Healthcare plans; assist with investigations of critical incidents; attend annual ISP's and assessment meetings as needed; develop and monitor training's specific to DD and provide continuing education to individuals and staff in DD programs; provide nursing services and conduct nursing assessments as needed; approve private home care assessments / plans and conduct nursing assessments for PHC individuals; develop and / or review policies specific to DD individuals; assist with intake/ discharge of individuals who are medically hospitalized and ensure staff are trained on discharge orders; work closely with current nursing staff; direct care, and supervisors to ensure health and safety of all DD individuals and other duties as needed. Computer skills required.  

 

NOTE: McIntosh Trail Community Service Board conducts background checks on all final candidates. Hiring of applicants is contingent upon satisfactory results of:

Fingerprint Based Background Check of the Georgia and Federal Criminal History Record 
Database
Drug Screen
Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for seven years

TB testing will be required upon appointment. If you have previously tested positive for TB, you will be required to bring a copy of your chest x-ray on your first day of orientation.

Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse AND any related professional work experience.
