JOB SUMMARY: Under broad supervision, plans, manages, and evaluates social services programs. Administers and coordinates the services and program activities in dependency, mental illness, youth development, or physical or developmental disability programs. May also act as a lead worker.

 

JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: Provides policy and/or management guidance to representatives of the programs. Participates in the determination of organizational policies regarding such issues as participant eligibility, program requirements and program benefits. Organizes community stakeholders and resources to identify proactive and effective solutions. Implements, coordinates, monitor and evaluate social services programs. Identifies and/or manages grants, contracts, and other facets associated with the programs. Guides and oversees the distribution of resources. Evaluates the provision and quality of recommended services to assure compliance with program requirements and policies. Establishes and maintains relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community in order to meet community needs and prevent duplication of services. May supervise support staff or lower level employees. Acts as lead worker. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas. Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.


POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES: The position serves as Social Services Provider 2 at the Cadwell RYDC working in the facility.  


MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications.

 

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Social Services Provider 1 Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Master of Education in Counseling AND Eligibility to be licensed as a counselor in the State of Georgia

                                            OR
  • Social Services Provider 2 Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Master of Education in Counseling AND Two (2) years of related post-graduate experience, AND Eligibility to be licensed as a counselor in the State of Georgia.
