Job Description and Requirements:

Part-Time Clerk I

The Griffin Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is accepting resumes for a temporary, part-time, Clerk I position. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. The primary job duties and responsibilities involve providing clerical support to attorneys and other staff of the Circuit Public Defender office, including: processing and reviewing applications; entering data into the case management system; reviewing, proofreading, copying and distributing documents; receiving, screening and directing telephone and other communications; greeting and assisting clients; sorting and routing incoming and outgoing mail; answering correspondence; operating office equipment and maintaining supplies required for assigned tasks. Applicants should understand that this organization’s goal is to provide quality, client-centered representation to all clients. Superior organization and administrative skills are required. Prior experience is preferred.
