Job Description and Requirements:
The Southern Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender I for Juvenile Court cases in all of our counties, to include Brooks, Colquitt, Echols, Lowndes, and Thomas County. Primary duties include representing juvenile clients with cases in Juvenile Court. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. A strong commitment to indigent defense is also required. Although interviews will be scheduled as soon as possible, the current deadline for submission is August 31, 2019 or until the position is filled.
