JOB SUMMARY: 
 

This is temporary or hourly paid work performing professional social/counseling services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513). Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Normally permanent labor positions are eligible for Health Insurance benefits.

 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Performs and/or directs intake services to youth.

·       Directs or completes mental health assessments of youth.

·       Provides therapeutic counseling to individuals, groups or families, to effect positive change in the youth’s behavior and/or social situations.

·       Leads or participates as a member of a treatment team to identify youths’ strengths, resources, symptoms, and psychological challenges to develop and monitor an effective plan of treatment.

·       Prepares and submits required reports and other documentation. 

·       Engages in clinical supervision to facilitate development of clinical knowledge, skills and professional integrity of mental health services provided to youth.

 
Minimum Qualifications:


Master`s Degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, behavioral sciences, or social services (e.g., psychology, social work) .

 
 

Location of facility in near: Savannah, Hinesville, Statesboro, Vidalia areas. Shift varies depending on facility needs. Applicant must have a clean criminal history or a 10 year span since last disposition.
