Georgia Regional Hospital – Savannah (GRHS) operates 180 licensed, accredited inpatient beds for two major program areas: 1) adult mental health, 2) adult forensic services.
GRHS offers inpatient adult mental health services, inpatient habilitation services and forensic program services to a catchment area of approximately 45 Georgia counties.
Job Description:
This position is needed to support the Clinical Director and to monitor/mentor the physicians and psychiatrists. Will perform medical staff audits in order to maintain federal standards. Will also be a unit psychiatrist and provide coverage on the units as psychiatrist as needed.
The candidate selected will be expected to:
- Assisting the Clinical Director in managing the Clinical Department, focusing on quality management and clinical staff performance.
- Assuming the responsibility when the Clinical Director is not in the facility.
- Monthly monitoring of a fixed sample of all psychiatric assessments.
- Monthly monitoring of a fixed sample of weekly psychiatric progress notes (PPN).
- Monthly monitoring of a fixed sample of monthly psychiatric progress notes (PPN).
- Data-based mentoring of psychiatrists on assessments, weekly PPN, and monthly PPN.
- Monthly monitoring of a fixed sample of Initial and Individualized Recovery Planning process (RPTC Observations, IRP Clinical Chart Audit).
- Data-based mentoring of recovery planning teams.
- Entering monitoring data into the Plato software.
- Undertaking inter-rater agreement checks with other monitors.
- Evaluating quality of a fixed sample of mall groups facilitated by psychiatrists.
- Assisting psychiatrists to correct deficiencies and to improve performance.
