Accounts Receivable Supervisor - Banner
Savannah Technical College is seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor - Banner to oversee accounts receivable functions, and to manage/maintain the BANNER Student Database Accounts Receivable subsystem. This individual will regularly analyze, reconcile, and approve accounts receivable related items. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and managing BANNER Accounts Receivable sub-system.
- Supervising accounts receivable portion of student registration each academic term.
- Independently recording financial transactions, performing reconciliations, and preparing accounting reports.
- Maintaining accounting file information and processing complex receivables.
- Supervising Accounts Receivable staff.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Public Administration or closely related field *AND* five (5) years of experience in accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, *AND* at least three (3) years’ full-time, paid accounting work experience.
- Proficiency in the following computer programs/applications: PeopleSoft Financials, BANNER Student Database – specifically BANNER Accounts Receivable, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in governmental accounting, and preparation of GAAP financial statements.
- Experience with the Department of Education and Georgia Student Financial Commission regulations regarding financial aid.
- Experience with Nelnet, Third Party Lender.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills to deal professionally with Savannah Technical College employees, students, and vendors.
Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking. The employee frequently lifts and carries light to medium weight objects up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.
Salary/Benefits
Salary is commensurate with education and work experience. Benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Benefits package.
