Job Description and Requirements:
The South Georgia Judicial Circuit is seeking to fill two Assistant Public Defender positions, effective immediately. These positions can be filled at the APD I, II, III, or IV level, and will be based on the candidate's experience. The primary duties will include representing indigent clients with criminal cases, in Superior Court, at all stages of the criminal procedure process, in all five counties of the South Georgia Circuit. All applicants must have the skills to perform the responsibilities for this position. Additionally, all applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or intending to take the Georgia bar exam in February or July 2019. The interviews will be scheduled as soon as possible and will continue until the positions are filled.
