Job Description and Requirements:
The Ogeechee Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender. The Circuit includes Bulloch, Effingham, Jenkins, and Screven counties. This position will be filled at the level of APD I or APD II, depending on the candidate's experience. Primary duties include representing indigent clients in Superior Court. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Superior organizational skills and a strong commitment to indigent defense are also required.
