Computer Operator 1
Under direct supervision, operates computer and peripheral equipment. Performs clerical and maintenance tasks in support of a mainframe computer complex or other large centralized IT system.
Operates and monitors consoles and hardware of mainframe multiprocessor or mini computer systems. Performs or directs others in performing file backups and recovery procedures. Prepares and submits recurring and on-demand reports within established timeframes. Provide technical security information assistance to customers and management. Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas
Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college OR High school diploma or GED AND Six months of experience operating computer consoles and/or peripheral equipment.
