English Instructor-PT Union County High School
North Georgia Technical College is accepting applications for adjunct faculty (temporary, part-time) to teach English at Union County High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:40 AM to 9:30 AM. This position will begin in August of 2019. Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules to a diverse student body in accordance with the established syllabi, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction.
Provide students with appropriate course materials (syllabus, calendar, policy statements or guidelines) and utilize course management software efficiently and effectively. Adhere to course competencies in the preparation and delivery of quality instruction. Prepare and maintain competency-based course syllabi and support materials for all courses, with effective use of course management software. Be knowledgeable of institutional policies and procedures.
Hours:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:40 AM to 9:30 AM.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 Graduate Level hours in English. The graduate level English cannot have an education prefix and must not be labeled as English for teachers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
Salary/Benefits:
$30.00 per hour /No Benefits
