Medical Provider (Psychiatrist/APRN)
Provides psychiatric services to adult clients in an outpatient mental health clinic setting. Completes all documentation within 24 hours and meets 80% billable standard.
Provide medical and psychiatric services for clients with psychiatric diagnoses. Provides clinical oversight and consultation to non-physician staff on treatment methodologies.
Provides client medical care. Examines and evaluates the client to determine condition and needs. Writes orders for any precautions, restrictions, medications or consultations necessary for appropriate treatment. Leads interdisciplinary team in formulating individualized treatment plans. Works with clinicians, nurses and direct care staff to evaluate progress and revise treatment plans as needed. Provides supportive counseling and education to clients and family members. Determines need for discharge from the program and provision of follow-up treatment. Facilitates hospitalization of clients as needed. Maintains clinical records according to prescribed protocols.
Serves on program committees and task forces as needed. May provide oversight and instruction to medical students and residents.
Agency will determine entry qualifications.
