The Adult Crisis Stabilization Temporary
observation unit (TOU) is a medically monitored, short term stabilization
program that provides psychiatric and behavioral healthcare for adults who are
experiencing a mental health crisis or need detoxification for substance use.
The TOU operates 24-hours a day, seven days a week, and currently serves adults
18 and older.
We encourage each family to participate
in treatment and transition planning as well as our Family Program. Each family
member/caregiver is able to participate in our Family Program to learn more
about the skills the clients learn as well as have questions answered about
community resources and support. Each client is discharged after treatment
either to higher level of care (CSU) or back to the community with transition
planning.
