Complnc Specialist 1
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants, who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas:
- Knowledge of, and experience with animal industry and livestock and poultry
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and rules involving livestock and poultry
- Leadership qualities
- Ability to work closely with others, and effect positive change as a contributing team member
- Skilled in conflict management and professional communication, both verbally and in writing
Technical Competencies:
- Ability to perform inspection activities according to appropriate established regulations, directives, and procedures
- Ability to identify disease and insects that affect animals
- Ability to identify violations of federal and state laws, rules and regulations
- Ability to follow up on complaints and reported violations
- Working knowledge of Windows computer operating system and applications including various databases
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in a timely and accurate fashion with peers, management, private industry, etc.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule job duty requirements
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Excellent reading, writing and analytical skills
- Demonstrated skill in coordinating and solving problems
- Strong Organizational skills
