The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking candidates for the position of Housekeeper Lead at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta.

 

Job Grade B

 

Job Description:

Performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation, and cleanliness in facilities. Maintains supplies as needed.

 

Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:

Cleans and straightens assigned areas

Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms

Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition

Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed

May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair

Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment

Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items

Presses and store all linens.

 

Sample Technical Competencies:

Ability to clean assigned areas according to established procedures

Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures

Knowledge of the laundry processes and equipment

Ability to maintain and operate equipment properly

Ability to choose and use appropriate cleaning agents

Ability to complete inspection forms for quality improvement program.
