MG1: Health Care (Clinical Mgr)

Manages, coordinates and directs the social service activities of a program.

Ø  Provide persons, families, or vulnerable populations with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or social emotion disorders and/or, physical. 

Ø  Provides patient education and counseling, advises caregivers, and makes necessary referrals for other social services.

Ø  Participates In planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing operations, programs, services, activities, and/or functions to ensure goals and

Ø  objectives are achieved and mission is carried out,

Ø  Makes and accepts responsibility for decisions necessary to carry out mission in assigned area.

Ø  Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.

Ø  Provides treatment to individuals, groups, families and couples using a variety of psycho therapeutic techniques

 

Ø  Under general supervision, counsel with emphasis on prevention and/or behavior modification.

Ø  Works with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health.

Ø  May help individuals deal with addictions and substance abuse, family, parenting, and marital problems, suicide, stress management, problems with self-esteem, and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health.

Ø  Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests.

Ø  Counsel clients in individual and group sessions to help them overcome dependencies, recover from illness, and adjust to life.

Ø  Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan.

Ø  Act as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.

Ø  Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information.

Ø  Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment.

Ø  Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.

Ø  Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports

  

 


Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years experience performing management responsibilities in a health care services environment Or Master degree in a related field and three years experience performing management responsibilities in a health care services environment Or Doctorate degree and two years experience performing management responsibilities in a health care services environment Or Two years at the lower level or position equivalent Note: Some positions may require certification or licensure
