Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta (GRHA) located on 174 acres in Decatur operates 270+ licensed, accredited inpatient beds in two major program area: Adult Mental Health and Forensic Services.
Job Descriptions:
The Psychiatrist, in conjunction with a comprehensive treatment team,
addresses the clinical needs of consumers in the hospital. Ask us about our
competitive salary, minimal call responsibilities, and benefits package. Openings will vary depending on current staffing in the following areas: Admissions, Adult Mental Health Inpatient, and Forensic Inpatient Services.
-Admissions: Job duties include review of referrals from outside
facilities for medical/psychiatric appropriateness, evaluation of individuals accepted
from the community to determine the need for inpatient treatment, and
reevaluation of individuals receiving treatment in our temporary observation
unit.
-Adult Mental Health: Job
duties include leading a multidisciplinary team that provides inpatient
stabilization for those admitted to our
hospitals and assist in integration back into the community once stabilized (Caseload
and length of stay vary by hospital so ask for more information about the
location you are interested in).
-Forensics: Job duties
include leading a multidisciplinary team that provides inpatient stabilization
to individuals referred from the surrounding courts for competency restoration.
Forensically trained psychiatrist may also participate in competency
evaluations and court testimony as needed (Caseload and length of stay vary by
hospital so ask for more information about the location you are interested in).
