ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR, PHOTOGRAPHY
Under general supervision demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques. Demonstrates the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping required. Demonstrates the use of appropriate technical knowledge in the teaching of the assigned subject area. Demonstrates the effective use of oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of current business and industry applications in the assigned subject area. Follows approved course syllabi. Monitors student use of supplies, materials, and equipment. Advises and counsels students and maintains appropriate advisement records on each student assigned to advise. Establishes and ensures adherence to health and safety requirements in assigned classrooms and laboratories. Attends meetings as required and appropriate. Observes and enforces the institution's policies and regulations. Assists with student recruitment and job placement as directed by division director. Serves on committees as directed and coordinated by division director. Maintains qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College system of Georgia Policy Manual. Follows rules and regulations as described by the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and other policies and procedures established by the institution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A MFA or MA Degree from a nationally or regionally accredited private
or public postsecondary college in Photography or closely related
field required; teaching experience preferred and/or 3+
years of work experience within the subject area. Proficient in Adobe
Creative Suite.
